Goalie comparison

By Times Staff Writer
Published April 24, 2004

JOSE THEODORE

SHOTS FACED: 28 SAVES: 24

COMMENT: Solid early, he never recovered from losing his stick on the first goal. Coach Claude Julien eased his netminder's pain by sending in backup Mathieu Garon, who saved all six shots he faced.

NIKOLAI KHABIBULIN

SHOTS FACED: 21 SAVES: 21

COMMENT: Sharp enough when he had to be, he had some down time, facing only one shot for half of the third period. Arguably the hottest goalie, he has four shutouts and five wins in six games.
