When I get my biannual new PowerBook, one of the first things I'll move from the old one to the new one will be ObDev's LaunchBar. This utility should be built into the operating system. It puts all of your applications, documents, favorite Web addresses and so forth in a big, easy-to-access list. And now you can do this on Windows with what looks like a carbon copy called AppRocket. It's loaded with text and pointers to a better way of living.

After seeing these photos, I figured that a baby would get you into all kinds of places to which you normally wouldn't have access. And you'd get to hang out with celebs. After discussing with some coworkers, they were pretty sure that this wasn't a good reason to have a baby, so I gave up on the idea.
