Goalie comparison

By Times Staff Writer
Published April 28, 2004

NIKOLAI KHABIBULIN

SHOTS FACED: 31 SAVES: 28

COMMENT: He allowed three goals for the first time in the postseason, but none were soft. He kept the Lightning close with big saves. In the second in particular, Montreal poured it on.

JOSE THEODORE

SHOTS FACED: 28 SAVES: 24

COMMENT: Though not tested often, he played solidly for 59 minutes. But he faltered when it mattered most, getting beat short-side for the tying goal and giving up a bad rebound on the winner.
