Top 5 movies

1. Mean Girls - Saturday Night Live head writer Tina Fey proves she's ready for Hollywood's prime time with a smart teen comedy for all ages.

2. Kill Bill: Vol. 2 - Uma Thurman continues her vengeance in a film so different from Vol. 1 that it's hard to believe they were once combined in one movie.

3. Connie and Carla - Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) creates a Some Like It Hot-style comedy that's anything but a drag.

4. Bobby Jones, Stroke of Genius - A leisurely biography of the golf legend, played by Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ).

5. Dawn of the Dead - Any remake surpassing the original is rare, but this update of George A. Romero's 1978 film does it with more gore, humor and economy of storytelling.
