Bucs sign 2, change game

TAMPA - Another week, another new player.

Plus an old one.

The Bucs signed Seahawks free-agent defensive end Lamar King to a one-year contract Wednesday, and added defensive tackle DeVone Claybrooks, who played in five games for the Bucs in 2002, including the Super Bowl victory. Terms were not disclosed.

King, the Seahawks' first-round draft choice in 1999, spent the first six weeks of the 2003 season on the physically unable to perform list after microfracture surgery on his left knee. The fifth-year pro started all 12 games he played in 2002, recording 26 tackles and one sack.

Claybrooks was released by Tampa Bay in August 2003 and later played with the 49ers and Falcons before being released by both.

The Buccaneers also announced that their preseason game with the Jacksonville Jaguars has been changed to Friday, Aug. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at ALLTEL Stadium. It was originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21.

VIKINGS: Linebacker Greg Biekert, 35, is retiring after 11 years in the NFL. He was Minnesota's starting middle linebacker the last two seasons.
