Storm player wins award

By FRANK PASTOR
Published May 7, 2004

TAMPA - Storm receiver/defensive back T.T. Toliver was named the Arena league's Ironman of the month. He caught 19 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns and returned 20 kickoffs for 499 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, he had 14 tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception.

In other news, the Storm signed offensive/defensive linemen D.J. Cooper and Mike Lawson and released linemen Shawn and Jerome King, who are brothers. Shawn King was a second-round pick of the NFL's Carolina Panthers in 1995 but was limited to seven games with the Storm because of injuries.

Former Florida State lineman Jerry Johnson was released from the exempt list, allowing him to play in Canada.
