NEW PORT RICHEY - The fourth annual Cotee River Seafood Festival and Boat Show and Blues by the River starts today at 10 a.m. and continues through 11 p.m., with a final day on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Those who attend can browse through $10-million worth of boats and watercraft in Sims Park and around Orange Lake, eat copious amounts of seafood, listen to ongoing live entertainment and look over the items in the arts and crafts fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

Today's highlight has singer Maria Muldaur (Midnight at the Oasis) headlining a blues show at Sims Park. The concert starts at 4:45 p.m. with the Damon Fowler Group, followed by bluesman Sarasota Slim. Ms. Muldaur is scheduled for 8 p.m. Admission to the concert is $5.

Miss Daisy Tours will offer Cotee River boat rides for $5 both days, starting at noon. There's a classic car show from 4 to 9 p.m. today.

Sunday's events include a Mother's Day Brunch ($3) by the Cotee River Lion's Club and a dance show by Dancesations at 9 a.m., and a baton twirling and pompom workshop by the West Florida Hot Shots at 10 a.m.

Live entertainment starts at 1 p.m., with the Dapper Dan Band, followed by Back Alley Blues Band, Troublemaker and Rhythm Xpress.

Admission is free, but a $2 donation will be accepted.
