An ultralight aircraft with two people aboard crashed near the Sunshine Skyway bridge Sunday afternoon. A boat in the area pulled out the victims, Michael Morea, 24, of Largo and Brian Dorrey, 17, of Seminole, who were taken to Bayfront Medical Center.

Morea, the owner and operator of the ultralight, was listed in fair condition, according to hospital spokesman Bill Hervey, who declined to release any information on Dorrey.

Coast Guard officials said the plane crashed nose-first at 1:50 p.m. into 3 feet of water near Tarpon Key, just west of the Dick Meisner Bridge next to the Skyway. Authorities identified four people aboard the boat as James R. Bowman and James R. Bowman III of Venice, Nellie Shields of Palmetto and Sharon Parker of Bradenton.
