MIAMI - Gloria Estefan knows how she'll be spending her summer: on tour.

"It's been almost eight years since my last tour and I'm looking forward to revisiting places that hold such beautiful memories for me," the singer said in a statement Tuesday.

The Live and Re-Wrapped tour will open July 30 in McAllen, Texas. It will end Sept. 24 in her only scheduled stop in Florida, Miami, where Estefan lives with her husband, producer Emilio Estefan. Other stops on the 27-city tour include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Boston.

Estefan's new album, Unwrapped, is her first English-language album since 1998.

Drama Critics' Circle announces awards

NEW YORK - Intimate Apparel, Lynn Nottage's drama about a lonely seamstress and her search for love in turn-of-the-century New York, has won the New York Drama Critics' Circle award for best play of the 2003-2004 season.

The critics voted Tuesday not to give a prize for best musical or best foreign play. The Circle has the option of giving a best foreign or best American play award, depending on what wins the best-play prize.

Barbara Cook, currently performing in London with her latest one-woman show, Barbara Cook's Broadway, will receive a special award for her contribution to musical theater.

The Drama Critics' Circle awards will be given at a private reception Tuesday.

Founded in 1935, the Circle comprises 20 critics from daily newspapers, magazines and wire services based in the New York metropolitan area.
