Safety Harbor closer to title

Safety Harbor (No. 26) moved a step closer to the District 12 End of Season major softball championship game by beating No.29 Tarpon Springs 3-0. Chloe Saganowich struck out 15 and helped herself by driving in a run. Shatia Wallace also added a run-scoring hit for Safety Harbor.

Amanda Weaver scored three runs as No.28 Oldsmar beat Largo 14-4. Danielle Dougherty scored a pair of runs and stole a base to help Oldsmar win its first game of the tournament. Brittany Bothelo and Kelsi Allen each collected two hits for Largo.

Alika Keene, Jessica Allen, Kelsey Badger and Caitlan Rambo all had run run-scoring hits for No.30 Tarpon Springs in a 15-4 win over No.32 Palm Harbor.

SENIOR SOFTBALL: The Safety Harbor Royals opened the District 12 End of Season Tournament by defeating the Palm Harbor Rays 6-1. Starter Erin Hackett held the Rays hitless over four innings to earn the win. Grace-Ann Carlson struck out seven in relief of Hackett.
