2 arrested on drug, weapon charges

TAMPA - The search of an apartment in Carrollwood led to the arrests of two men, the recovery of nearly $3,400 in drugs and the discovery of a gun stolen in Pinellas County, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

At 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, detectives searched the apartment at 12718 Cambridge Ave., where Howard Tyson and Bing Clarke live. During the search, detectives seized 70 grams of crack cocaine, almost 4 grams of powder cocaine, 56 grams of marijuana and three guns - including one stolen from Pinellas, according to information released Thursday. Tyson, 27, who goes by the nickname "Boo," and Clarke, 24, are being held in the county jail without bail. Both face charges of cocaine possession, armed trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana for sale, cocaine delivery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
