Youths injured in head-on collision on CR 581

WESLEY CHAPEL - At least two teenagers were airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday night after a head-on collision on County Road 581, south of State Road 54.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Mazda driven by Victoria Davis, 48, of Wesley Chapel drifted into the southbound lane and collided with a 1989 Pontiac driven by 18-year-old Gabriel Carrasco of Dade City.

Three passengers in Carrasco's car were injured: Raul Hererra, 16, Aurello Bernal, 10, and Mario Anguiano, age unknown.
