TAMPA - The College of Public Health at the University of South Florida has received a full seven-year re-accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health.
The CEPH granted the college accreditation for the second time, following a five-year accreditation in the late 1990s.
A group of evaluators representing the CEPH visited the campus in October.
"It's an unrestricted seven years," said Stanley Graven, the college's interim dean. "That's the highest you can get. It assures the faculty and students of the quality of the credentials."
The college is the only accredited college of public health in Florida and one of only 34 accredited public health institutions in the country.
