Laurie Chesanek of Dunedin knew that Paul Newman was so horrified by his performance in 1954's The Silver Chalice, he took out an ad in a Hollywood trade publication apologizing to moviegoers.

Before there was an official summer movie season, Hollywood made plenty of movies about summertime. Two films released before Jaws changed box office dynamics in 1975 included the word "summer" in their titles and two of the most memorable instrumental theme songs ever.
