Dom Irrera: Get your laughs in at Side Splitters this weekend when comedian Dom Irrera takes the stage. In addition to garnering many stand-up comedy and writing awards, Irrera has acted in films including The Big Lebowski, The Godson and The 4th Tenor, and television series including Seinfeld, Becker, Everybody Loves Raymond and The King of Queens. Irrera draws material for his act from childhood memories of growing up in an Italian household in South Philadelphia. Irrera will perform at 8 and 10:30 tonight and Saturday and 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the club, 12938 N Dale Mabry Highway. Tickets are $14 for general admission and $17 for preferred seating in the first five rows, prepaid by credit card. Call 960-1197.

Gospel Jubilee: Gospel lovers will be singing the praises of musicians at Saturday's Gospel Jubilee at the University of South Florida Sun Dome. Scheduled acts include Bishop Joe Simon, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and the Original Five Blind Boys of Mississippi. Simon is known for hit soul songs including Let's Do It Over, Teenager's Prayer and Nine Pound Steel. Armstrong has been seen on Broadway and in the TV miniseries The Women of Brewster Place. The Five Blind Boys of Mississippi's hit Our Father found R&B crossover success. Gospel Jubilee starts at 7 p.m. at the Sun Dome, 4202 E Fowler Ave. Tickets are $45 plus service charge, available through Ticketmaster outlets or the Sun Dome box office. Call 974-3002.

West Park Village festival: Grab the family and head out to West Park Village for Saturday's Gables Summer Music Festival. Proceeds from the event benefit the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa. Festival entertainment will include contests judged by WYUU-FM 92.5 disc jockeys Cowhead and Brent, food from local restaurants, crafter and artist booths, reggae, calypso, island, easy listening, top 40 and country music, a karaoke contest and a performance by the Silver Eagle Band.

The Gables Summer Music Festival is from 2-10 p.m. at Montague Street and Linebaugh Avenue. Call 792-5330.
