FAMILY FEST: Weeki Wachee Springs will host a Family Fun Fest, presented by the Mothers Club of Hernando County, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will include family and children's activities featuring Fritzy Brothers One Man Circus, face painting, crafts, community awareness programs, the Hernando County Smokehouse, a bouncy castle, dance and tae kwon do exhibitions. Visitors may also watch the regular shows and performances at the attraction. Admission to the attraction and the festival will be $2 per person. The discounted price does not include admission to the Buccaneer Bay water park. Admission is free for season pass holders. Weeki Wachee Springs is at 6131 Commercial Way. ARTS FESTIVAL: The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will have its 20th annual Art, Crafts and Music Festival on May 29 and 30 at Tom Varn Park in Brooksville. In addition to displays by area artisans and crafts people, the event will feature entertainment and children's activities. FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE: The Hernando County Recreation Department will have a father-daughter dance from 7 to 10 p.m. May 28 at the Community Activity Center, 205 E Fort Dade Ave. in Brooksville. Entertainment will feature DJ music, and there will be snacks, drinks and a complimentary photo. The dance is also open to mothers and sons, mothers and daughters and fathers and sons. NIGHT WALK: The Chinsegut Nature Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, north of Brooksville, will have a night nature walk starting at 8 p.m. June 4. Visitors should bring insect repellent and a flashlight. Call 754-6722.

STAGE WEST AUDITIONS: Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill, will have auditions for its production of Master Class at 7 p.m. May 28 and 4 p.m. May 29. Performances will be Aug. 13-15 and 20-22. The show requires two female soprano vocalists ages 17 to 35, one woman age 50 to 75, one male tenor vocalist 17 to 35, one male with no age specified and one male pianist age 17 to 35. Those auditioning for a soprano or tenor part should prepare an opera aria. Those auditioning for the pianist should bring music or be prepared to sight read. Call 683-5113.
