APRIL 16, 1954: Detroit's Tony Leswick scored the winning goal 4:29 into overtime. He took a weak shot - "You could have caught the puck in your teeth," Montreal's Bert Olmstead said - from 50 feet. *Special consideration goes to Boston's 3-2 win over the Giants on Oct. 16, 1912, in which it scored two in the bottom of the 10th with help from a dropped flyball by Fred Snodgrass for its last World Series title. But this was Game 8 after Game 2 ended 6-6 in 11 innings.
