LAST WEEK'S WINNERS: Last week we asked readers to name two pre-1975 films with the word "summer" in the title, both with memorable instrumental theme songs, for which the composers won Oscars. Marie T. Sciarretta of Clearwater and others got the answers we were going for: A Summer Place, with a theme by Max Steiner, and Summer of '42, with a theme by Michel Legrand. She wins the random drawing for a Weekend T-shirt. But Lynda Maxey of Spring Hill was smarter than all of us. She got Summer of '42 and Legrand, but pointed out that no other film with "summer" in the title had won an Oscar for its music. She's right. While Steiner is an Oscar-winning film composer, he did not win for A Summer Place. For reminding us that precision and a good Internet search are key, she also gets a T-shirt.

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: Harry Connick Jr., who answers Ten Pressing Questions, titled his first album, simply, 11. How did he come up with that title?

All correct answers will be placed in a random drawing to win the coveted Weekend T-shirt. Fax entries to Weekend Trivia, 727 892-2327, e-mail weekendtrivia@sptimes.com or mail to: Weekend Trivia c/o Weekend, St. Petersburg Times, P.O. Box 1121, St. Petersburg, FL 33731. All mailed entries must be postmarked by Friday (the day after we ask the question). Deadline for faxes and e-mails is noon Monday. Include your full name, address and phone number.
