Schools offer children free meals for summer

SOUTH TAMPA - Any child 18 and younger can get free breakfast and lunch throughout the summer at selected schools.

The meals are part of the National School Lunch Program, which operates sites in low-income communities. A typical breakfast includes a peanut butter and jelly bar, juice and milk. A typical lunch includes pizza sticks with marinara sauce, peach cup, apple juice and milk.

Parents can accompany their children, but the meals are for people 18 and younger and must be eaten at the school.

No reservations or applications are needed. Call the schools for serving times.

Meals will be served Tuesday through July 30 at these schools:

DeSoto Elementary, 2618 Corrine St., 276-5779.

Roland Park K-8, 1510 N Manhattan Ave., 872-5212.

West Shore Elementary, 7110 S West Shore Blvd., 272-3080.

Meals will be served June 7-30 at these schools:

Blake High, 1701 N Boulevard, 272-3422.

Grady Elementary, 3910 Morrison Ave., 872-5325.

Graham Elementary, 2915 Massachusetts Ave., 276-5408.

Lockhart Elementary, 3719 N 17th St., 276-5727.

Orange Grove Middle, 3415 16th St. 276-5717.

Stewart Middle, 1125 Spruce St., 276-5691 West Tampa Elementary, 2700 Cherry Street, 872-5200.

Young Middle, 1807 E Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., 276-5739.
