QUESTION: What was your first car?
DINGMAN: My first car was a Mazda truck, a little blue Mazda B2000, two seater. It was like an '85 or something and I got it in '93. It was in good shape for what it was, one of those low, long boxes. It had a CD player in it, so I was pretty happy with that.
QUESTION: Did you pay for it yourself?
DINGMAN: My parents and I had a deal. It was supposed to be half and half, but at the time I was making about 50 bucks a week. I had a job in the summer that I put toward some of the truck, but I definitely didn't keep up my end of the bargain.
QUESTION: What was the summer job?
DINGMAN: That summer I was pumping gas at Petro-Canada. Thank God for hockey. I might be doing that again next year though if we don't get a deal worked out (for a new labor contract).
QUESTION: Do you still have the truck?
DINGMAN: No, that's long gone. I'm three trucks down the road now. I upgraded two more times.
QUESTION: What's in your CD player now?
DINGMAN: I've got a changer and I like to mix CDs, but I've got Staind in there, the Lostprophets, Jackass the movie soundtrack, that's got some pretty good songs on it.
