Tino Martinez, got a minute?

By MARC TOPKIN
Published May 30, 2004

QUESTION: What secret skill do you have?

MARTINEZ: I can cook breakfast - omelets and pancakes.

QUESTION: Who was the biggest celebrity you "just happened" to meet in New York?

MARTINEZ: There were a lot. Probably Julia Roberts, backstage at a Broadway play.

QUESTION: Which paper did you read most: the New York Post, Daily News or the Times?

MARTINEZ: The Post, definitely. They had great trash to read along with the good sports.

QUESTION: Did you ever end up in Page Six (the gossip/society section)?

MARTINEZ: Yeah, but just for being at restaurants. No good scandals.

QUESTION: Favorite late-night snack?

MARTINEZ: Chocolate chip cookies - with milk.
