Published May 31, 2004

The Tampa Bay Technology Forum tackles the pros and cons of overseas outsourcing this week.

The tech group is hosting a panel discussion involving a group of local software companies that have outsourced some of their operations offshore.

Representatives of CommerceQuest, Utility Partners, Fortis Software and Freeborders will be on the panel, with Brad Fischer of Foley & Lardner acting as moderator.

The event, free for forum members or $25 for nonmembers, will begin at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wyndham Harbour Island Hotel. Reservations must be made by Tuesday; call (813) 229-5000.

Created in 2000, the tech forum promotes technology issues and tech companies throughout the region. Most recently, it co-hosted the first statewide Florida Tech Transfer Conference in St. Petersburg.
