Got a minute, Cory Sarich?

By JOANNE KORTH
Published May 31, 2004

QUESTION: Are you superstitious?

SARICH: No, I'm routine.

QUESTION: What are you "routine" about?

SARICH: Mostly just game days, everything. I eat the same stuff. We've got the same rooms at the hotels throughout the playoffs. I put my left skate on first all the time. Go out to the ice at the same time. It keeps everybody in order. We all know where everybody is at any given time. I think we all are a little routine. There's maybe only a few guys who can say they're not.

QUESTION: Do you have lucky clothes?

SARICH: No, I don't have any lucky underwear because the dryer keeps eating my socks so I can't have lucky socks. I only have one in every bag that I open up.

QUESTION: Do you listen to special music before the game?

SARICH: I have no say. The music Nazi, Brad Lukowich, is all over that.

QUESTION: Do you have a favorite pregame meal?

SARICH: Chicken and pasta. I can't say it's my favorite but it's here.
