The Bank of St. Petersburg announced these appointments: Joseph Caballero, chief executive and president; and Anthony F. Gonzalez, chairman of the board and vice chairman of Bank of St. Petersburg Holdings Inc. Caballero was senior vice president of Bank of America, Tampa; and Gonzalez was vice chairman and chairman of the advisory board of directors for Colonial Bank's bay area region in Tampa.
Nicola Maganuco and Jeffrey A. Thomas have been promoted to vice presidents of Mercantile Bank, Tampa. Maganuco will be at the Brandon branch, where he was branch manager; and Thomas will be at the Seven Springs branch, where he was branch manager.
John Marshall has been named vice president and business banking relationship manager for AmSouth Bank, Tampa. Marshall was vice president for SunTrust, Hyde Park branch, Tampa.
Paul Manfrey has been selected for the national licensee advisory board for Wachovia Securities Financial Network. Licensees will provide management with feedback regarding the brokerage experience, make suggestions and recommendations for best practices and preview and provide input on firm initiatives. Lubitz, who will work in Tampa, was Florida corporate communications manager for Bank of America, Tampa.

Noreen Brand has been promoted to director of curatorial affairs for the Florida Holocaust Museum, St. Petersburg. Brand was director of education. Ronald A. Christaldi has been selected to serve on the board of directors for the Tampa Bay Business Committee for the Arts. Christaldi practices law in the areas of business law and transactions, focusing on corporate, health care and real estate matters for the Tampa law firm of de la Parte & Gilbert. ORGANIZATIONSGloria N. Ellinwood has been elected president of the American Society of Interior Designers Florida West Coast Chapter. Ellinwood is an interior designer with an office in St. Petersburg.

UTILITIESSeminole Electric Cooperative Inc., Tampa, has promoted Michael P. Opalinski to vice president of technical services and Floyd "Joe" Welborn to vice president of operations. Opalinski was director of environmental and engineering services; Welborn was vice president of energy delivery.
