Cosmetologist to help cancerous women

LARGO - The "Look Good . . . Feel Better" program for women with cancer has scheduled a free session at 10 a.m. Monday in the first-floor classrooms, Largo Medical Center, 201 14th St. SW. The program, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is for women whose treatments have caused loss of hair and skin moisture and changes in skin tone. A professional cosmetologist will demonstrate makeup and hairstyles. Each participant will receive a free makeup kit. Call 588-5702.

Workshop to train potential home buyers

CLEARWATER - A free workshop for potential home buyers is scheduled from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 19 at the Harborview Center, 300 Cleveland St.. Participants will receive a certificate for home buyer training, and drawings for prizes will be held throughout the day. Lunch is available for purchase. Registration is required. Realtors, lenders, home inspectors, insurance companies, title companies, nonprofits and others will also have the opportunity to promote their services. The event is sponsored by Clearwater, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and other nonprofit agencies.
