TAMPA - Residents in northwest Hillsborough County were encouraged Wednesday to boil their water before using it if they had experienced a drop in water pressure following power outages.
The recommended period to boil is one minute.
The Fawn Ridge and Lake Park water plants lost generator power for short periods Tuesday evening. County officials said water would be tested to ensure the system was not contaminated during the outage.
