Vinny Testaverde might be headed for a reunion with coach Bill Parcells.
Michael Azzarelli, Testaverde's agent, said Wednesday the Cowboys and two other NFL teams have expressed interest in signing the 17-year veteran QB, who was released by the Jets on Tuesday in a salary-cap move.
Testaverde, 40, spent the past six seasons with the Jets, who were coached by Parcells from 1997-99. Testaverde was the Bucs' No. 1 draft pick in 1987.
Quincy Carter was the Cowboys' quarterback last season and ranked 24th out of the NFL's 32 starters. Dallas acquired former University of Michigan quarterback Drew Henson from the Texans in March, and also has Chad Hutchinson as a backup.
L.A. mayor backs Coliseum as NFL home
Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn said he now thinks a modified Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum would be the appropriate home for the possible return of an NFL team to the city.
Hahn had backed a proposal to build a new stadium but said the progress the Coliseum has made in preparing environmental impact documents has given it the edge over other possible sites.
