TAMPA - Twenty people were duped into buying counterfeit $200 tickets for Thursday night's Stanley Cup game, according to Tampa police.
The fake tickets were sold by four people who fled the area around the St. Pete Times Forum before the start of the game, police said.
"The message we want to get out is that you are always taking a gamble" when buying tickets off people on the street, said Tampa police spokesman Capt. Bob Guidara.
