Art exhibit: The Asian Elephant Art and Conservation Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the diminishing number of Asian elephants. Conceptual artists Komar and Melamid spread the idea of teaching elephants how to paint to help surviving elephants and their caretakers. Check out these cool paintings at the Osceola gallery through from May 1 to Aug. 27 at the Osceola Gallery at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave., Clearwater. SUNSETS AT PIER 60: Celebrate the end of the day every evening, two hours before sunset until two hours after sunset, at the Pier 60 Pavilion on Clearwater Beach. The daily event features artists and crafters offering handmade treasures and unique Florida memorabilia, street theater performers and live music. Admission is free. PARTY: At 7 p.m. today, the Suncoast Theatre Alliance is hosting a community cast party at 801 Main St., Safety Harbor. ART GALLERY: Eleven artists will have samples of their work displayed from today through July 30 at the Largo Public Library. Art ranges from oil paintings and watercolors to photography and sculpture. For information, Call (727) 587-6715.

EXHIBIT: A colorful array of garden-themed art is on display at the Painted Fish Gallery through July 31. There are miniature paintings, watercolors, calligraphy, mosaic stepping stones, ceramic bird houses, tiki torches, photography, quilts and more. A meet-the-artists reception will be take place at 7 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is at 350 Main St., downtown Dunedin. The hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. Call (727) 736-0934.
