A Brooksville man who was injured Thursday after his motorcycle collided with an SUV remained in serious condition Friday, St. Joseph's Hospital officials said.

Matthew Alsup, 29, was traveling north on Lemon Avenue when a Suzuki sport utility vehicle tried to turn onto the street from Florida Avenue, Brooksville police said.

The driver of the SUV, Virginia Gaustad, 28, of Brooksville, told police her view was blocked by a tree. She was issued an $86 ticket for failing to yield the right of way, police said.
