A Ridge Manor woman injured in a head-on collision along State Road 50 remained in critical condition Friday, St. Joseph's Hospital officials said.

On Thursday Kimberly Clemons, 42, of 34244 Ridge Manor Blvd., was driving east in the westbound lanes of Cortez Boulevard when her Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with a pickup driven by Ken Breeden, 32, of Groveland, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Hospital officials could not release Breeden's condition Friday, but Thursday evening he was listed in critical condition.

A passenger in Breeden's vehicle - James A. Tholen of Clermont - was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:50 a.m. No charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
