The Bank of St. Petersburg announced these appointments: Stephen Stagg and Edmund O'Carroll, to senior vice presidents. Stagg will work at the downtown Tampa branch; O'Carroll will be at the Himes branch office, where he also will serve as branch executive. Stagg was vice president and research analyst for Timucuan Asset Management, Jacksonville; O'Carroll was senior vice president and client manager for Bank of America, Tampa.

CONSTRUCTION

L. Dean Banks has been named territory general manager for ACI, Tampa. Banks was business development manager for J.A. Jones Construction Co.

ENGINEERING

Greg White has been named director of surveying for Avid Engineering, Palm Harbor. White was director of surveying for Florida Design Consultants Inc., New Port Richey.

FINANCIAL

David Shimkus has been named a mortgage consultant for HomeBanc Mortgage Corp., Tampa. Shimkus was a sports anchor and on-air host for Home Shopping Network, St. Petersburg.

HEALTH CARE

Carolyn R. Bond has been named director of managed care operations for Allied EyeCare, Clearwater. Bond was a network contract manager for Cigna Dental, Columbia, Md.

Rick Doyle has been named Florida vice president of network development for Humana Inc., Tampa. Doyle was southeast region network head for Aetna/U.S. Healthcare, Blue Bell, Pa.

HOSPITALITY

David Halm has been named director of sales for the Cabana Grill & Bar at the Belleview Biltmore on Sand Key. Halm was catering sales manager for Pappas Riverside Restaurant, Tarpon Springs.

LEGAL

Nestor J. Rivera has been elected to the board of directors for the Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County. Riveria is an associate and practices in the area of health care, class action and commercial litigation with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa.

Cheryl Smith-Khan has been elected director-at-large for the Clearwater Bar Association. Smith-Khan is an associate and practices in the areas of divorce, custody, child support and related appeals for the law firm of Boyer & Schlitz, Clearwater.

MISCELLANEOUS

John B. West has been named to the board of directors of Tribridge Inc., Tampa. West is a trustee and chairman of the educational affairs committee at the University of Tampa.

Beth Yovino has been named manager of the new finance and accounting division of Veredus Corp., Tampa. Yovino was director of field operations support at Kforce Inc., Tampa.

NONPROFIT

Dr. David A. Weiland Jr. has been named medical director for the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Weiland was assistant director, family practice residency at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg.

REAL ESTATE

Christopher Mueller has been named director of asset management atlliance Exchange Corp., Odessa. Mueller was general manager of the RIO at Washington Center, Washington, DC.

TECHNOLOGY

Iain A. Macdonald has been named to the board of directors of Sykes Enterprises, Tampa. Macdonald is chairman of Yakara PLC and for Realise Ltd., both in Scotland.
