Retired 'Times' staffer will speak at luncheon

The Florida Suncoast Retiree Chapter of the Suncoast Area Local, American Postal Workers Union will have a luncheon at Buddy Freddy's Buffet Restaurant, 1150 U.S. 19, Holiday, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Retired Pasco Times staff member Carolyn Hopkins will speak and answer questions from noon until 12:30.

The cost is $7. The first 30 chapter members to sign in will eat free.

A chapter meeting will follow from 12:30 to 1.

NYPD group plans dinner on Tuesday

The New York City Police Department Suncoast 10-13 Club will have its last dinner meeting of the season at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Kally K's Restaurant, 1600 Main St., Dunedin.

Dinner is optional.

Club membership is open to New York City Police Department retirees who reside in Pasco, Pinellas, or Hillsborough counties.

Red Hat member will speak at meeting

Women in Networking will meet for breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Ramada Hotel, 5015 U.S. 19, New Port Richey.

Joan Florio, a member of the Red Hat Society, will speak on the history of the organization and its activities.

Women in Networking is a group of Pasco businesswomen who meet for lunch or dinner once a month.

The annual membership dues are $5.

Seniors' group offers educational event

Seniors Are Someone Special Year-Round, or S.A.S.S.Y., will present an educational show for seniors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Center Court of Gulf View Square mall, 9409 U.S. 19, Port Richey.

There will be free health screenings, informational booths, and entertainment.
