ZEPHYRHILLS - A 36-year-old man was arrested Thursday, accused of hitting his pregnant girlfriend.
Darin Eugene Militello, of 12229 Sugarwood Court in Hudson, struck the woman twice with his fist on her right cheek, causing her nose to bleed, the Sheriff's Office reported. Militello also placed his hands around the woman's neck, causing her to fall to the ground, reports stated.
The woman, who said she is six weeks' pregnant, was at her sister's Zephyrhills home when the attack occurred, reports stated.
Militello was charged with aggravated domestic battery. He was released from Land O'Lakes Jail on his own recognizance with supervision.
