Van driver's window shot out; motorist uninjured

WESLEY CHAPEL - Someone shot out the driver's window of a van as it was moving Thursday, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.

The victim told sheriff's deputies he was driving south on Old Pasco Road, between Mayflower and Foamflower boulevards, in a 1994 Chrysler Town and Country van, when his driver's window shattered.

The glass broke in a way consistent with the impact of a pellet gun, reports said. The driver was not injured.

The victim told deputies he then tried to follow the shooter's van, which he said was a green and white Dodge from a model year between 1989 and 1994. But he said he lost track of it in Angus Valley.

The driver appeared to be a white man about 30 years old, reports stated, and was accompanied by another white man.

The Sheriff's Office had no suspects Friday.
