LAND O'LAKES - The Sheriff's Office arrested a 46-year-old man Thursday in connection with the burglary of an RV park's post office last weekend.

Sometime between June 12 at 11 a.m. and Monday at 9 a.m., a safe containing $800 in cash and $1,600 in postal stamps was taken from the post office at Travelers Rest RV Park in Dade City, reports stated.

A sheriff's deputy stopped Thomas Charles Hildreth of Demopolis, Ala., about 8 a.m. Monday because the vehicle Hildreth was driving was stolen from another jurisdiction, reports said.

A search of the trunk produced a partially pried open safe with a serial number matching the one missing from Traveler's Rest, reports said.

Hildreth was charged with burglary of a business and grand theft. He was being held Friday at Land O'Lakes Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
