NEW PORT RICHEY - Authorities are looking for the man who used a threatening note Wednesday afternoon to rob the SunTrust Bank at 1424 Seven Springs Blvd.

Shortly before 4 p.m., the man gave a note to a bank teller demanding money and indicating he had a gun, although no one saw a weapon, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported. No one was hurt, but the man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber was described as a black man, 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He wore a white tank top with dark blue shorts and he wore a bandana over his head. He fled the bank in a white Pontiac Firebird, heading south on Seven Springs Boulevard.

Anyone with information can call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office tip line at 1-800-706-2488.
