Things we like

How many of us were lulled to sleep by the 1947 children's classic Goodnight Moon? Plenty, to judge by the fact that new parents still are delighted to receive fresh copies of the story by Margaret Wise Brown with the wonderful Clement Hurd illustrations.

Can't get enough Hurd? Check out "From Goodnight Moon to Art Dog: The World of Clement, Edith and Thacher Hurd," through Sept. 5 at the Orlando Museum of Art, where you'll see treasures like this 1948 study for Wait Until the Moon Is Full, by Clement Hurd. The museum is in Orlando's Loch Haven Park. For information, call 407 896-4231 or go to www.omart.org
