Sampras fails to ace real estate market

By JEFF HARRINGTON
Published July 26, 2004

Pete Sampras may wish he never left sunny Florida for sunny California.

The retired tennis star, who sold his home in Orlando for $1.575-million in 1999, has been having trouble in Hollywood real estate circles.

According to published reports, the sale of Sampras' Beverly Hills home has fallen through. The home went on the market a year ago for $3.75-million, then went into contract after being reduced to $3.5-million.

Sampras didn't need the place after he married actor Bridgette Wilson and bought a larger Beverly Hills home for $8-million in 2002.

Reports say that Sampras' old Beverly Hills residence, once home to Kenny G, has four bedrooms, 5,100 square feet and a large yard. Among the amenities: a tennis court.
