Raid leads to two arrests, methamphetamine seizure

WIMAUMA - Ending a two-month investigation, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office raided a home Wednesday night and seized a pound of methamphetamine with an estimated value of more than $14,000.

Detectives arrested two men on charges of drug trafficking: Benancio Ayala-Pineda, 30, of 1408 Orca Court in Ruskin, and Julian Rios, 29, of 3350 Downing Drive. The raid took place about 9:30 p.m. at Rios' home.

The two men are being held at the Hillsborough County jail on $22,500 bail each.
