TAMPA - A man fishing on the Hillsborough River on Thursday morning helped police catch a 41-year-old man suspected in several burglaries and thefts.

The fisherman heard glass break saw David Grime Queen going into a Riverhills Drive home through a broken window, Tampa police said.

The witness called 911 from his cell phone, and by the time Queen walked out of the house carrying a VCR/DVD player, an officer was waiting, police said.

Queen told police he had to steal to pay for a $1,500-a-day drug habit. He is cooperating with police to close out other burglary investigations in which he admits responsibility, officials said.
