A Ridge Manor woman authorities say was involved in a June head-on collision that killed one man and injured another was arrested Friday on charges of DUI manslaughter and DUI with serious bodily injury.

Kimberly J. Clemons, 42, of 34244 Ridge Manor Blvd., was being held at the Hernando County Jail on $81,000 bail. According to reports, Clemons was driving east in the westbound lanes of Cortez Boulevard when her Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with a pickup driven by Ken Breeden, 32, of Groveland.

The accident occurred after several motorists along Cortez Boulevard honked their horns, attempting to alert Clemons that she was eastbound in a westbound lane, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman said. Breeden was injured, and his passenger, James A. Tholen, 38, of Clermont, was pronounced dead at the scene. Clemons also was taken to the hospital after being thrown about 10 feet from her vehicle..
