Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice Anthony Cotto, son of Christy and Frank Delage of St. Petersburg and Jose Cotto of Largo, recently graduated from the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, N.J. He will attend the Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Va., for machinery technician training. He is a 2003 graduate of Lakewood High School.

Marine Corps Pfc. Jesse J. George, son of Randal George and Frances Charles, both of Pinellas Park, recently graduated at the top of his class from field linesman training at Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base, Calif. He completed military combat training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and boot camp at Parris Island, S.C. He is a 2003 graduate of Gibbs High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Aymee C. Laurain, daughter of Kay and Earl Laurain of St. Petersburg, is in advanced training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, for canine handling. She has served in the Air Force for three years. She is a 2001 graduate of St. Petersburg High School.

Navy Lt. Dr. Howard Irwin Pryor II, son of Alvena B. and the late Dr. Howard Irwin Pryor of St. Petersburg, has completed his first year as a surgical resident at George Washington University Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2003 and was promoted to his current rank. He graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and is a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College and Lakewood High School.

Navy Airman Ann Marie Lazzara, daughter of Marianne and Michael Lazzara of St. Petersburg, has returned from deployment to the Persian Gulf aboard the USS George Washington, home port Norfolk, Va. She is a 2000 graduate of Community Christian High School of Largo. She joined the Navy in 2001.
