A Revolutionary time

Looking for something to do? Here's a super calendar, ranging from Kinky to belly dancing.

In 2001, alternative metal quintet Linkin Park created the Projekt Revolution tour to bring together a cornucopia of musical acts.

Three years later, it's still going strong.

This year's 32-stop tour brings 13 musical acts to the Ford Amphitheatre, including Snoop Dogg, Korn, Linkin Park and Less Than Jake.

Acts will perform on two stages and, at times, together. Since the tour began last month, Snoop Dogg - the embodiment of '90s gangsta rap - has joined Linkin Park onstage for his hit Gin and Juice.

Backed by a live funk band and a deejay, Snoop Dogg will likely rap about smoking pot and chasing women.

Linkin Park will deliver an 80-minute set of its moping lyrics, and Less Than Jake will perform their punk-pop tinged with Jamaican ska.

Other performers are Mike V and the Rats, Ghostface, Funeral for a Friend, Autopilot Off, Instruction, M.O.P., No Warning, Downset and The Used.

The concert begins at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (doors open at 2:30 p.m.) at the Ford Amphitheatre, Florida State Fairgrounds, Tampa. Tickets cost $35.50 to $49.50. Call 287-8844.
