BIG EVENT: "BIG Day," a special event to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hernando County, will be from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Lake House on Kenlake Avenue in Spring Hill. The event originally had been planned for this Saturday but was postponed because of weather. The Marine Corps honor guard will open the festivities. There will be games and activities for all ages. Entertainment will be provided by local bands Providence and Waiting on December. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Admission to the event is free. The event is sponsored by All Coast Engineering, which will match total money raised up to $1,000; the Spring Hill Community Association; All Star Trophy and Awards; and the St. Petersburg Times.
