Geetanjali Coomar , a graduate of Calvary Christian High School, was named a National Award Winner in history and government, and will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Yearbook. She was nominated by her history teacher, Matthew Pinder. Coomar is the daughter of Michael and Satima Coomar of Clearwater.

Christopher Benjamin , a graduate of Pinellas Park High School, received the 2004 Debartolo Family Foundation scholarship and the Public Service Education of Pinellas Park scholarship. He is a member of Parents Television Council of Pinellas County, the Urban League, NAACP and the Pinellas County Christian Coalition. He will attend St. Petersburg College in the fall. Benjamin is the son of Darlene Benjamin of Largo and Carlos Daniels of Mims.

The Caladesi chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution awarded the 2004 Good Citizen Award to Aimee Renee Sheire , a senior at Dunedin High School. The award is given for service and leadership. Sheire is the daughter of Joseph and Debra Sheire of Dunedin. She will attend the University of Florida in the fall, majoring in communications.

The chapter also awarded the 2004 ROTC award to Cade LTJG Kellie Anne Gaston , a graduate of Dunedin High School. She received a DAR medal and certificate for performance in NROTC duties, academics and community service. Gaston is a student at the University of South Florida.

Dina Marie Coppola graduated from Radford University with a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology. She is a graduate of Countryside High School in 1997 and has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of West Florida. She is the daughter of Jeanmarie and John Coppola of Palm Harbor.

Michelle Westhoefer , daughter of Dennis and Janet Westhoefer of Palm Harbor, was named to the dean's list at the University of Notre Dame for outstanding scholarship last spring. Westhoefer, a 2000 graduate of East Lake High school, is at student in the university's college of engineering, majoring in mechanical engineering.

Michael J. Anthony of Palm Harbor, son of Kim Timpanella, was selected to perform in the Disney Collegiate All-Star Band this summer. Anthony was one of 20 performers hired out of approximately 400 students who auditioned. He is a 2001 graduate of Gulf High School and is a senior on the dean's list at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.

Gabriella M. Turnier, daughter of Robert and Allice Turnier of Palm Harbor, received the Evon M. Shields Memorial Finance Scholarship. Turnier is majoring in finance at Penn State's Smeal College of Business.
