CONTEST: The city of Largo and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host an NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick competition from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Whitesell Softball Complex, 12555 119th St. N. The competition is free and open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15. Scores are based on distance and accuracy. Top finishers from each of the eight age groups at the local competition will advance to a sectional competition. The top five scores from the pool of sectional champions advance to the team championship, to be held at the Bucs vs. San Francisco 49ers game at Raymond James Stadium on Nov. 21. AUDITIONS: You can try out for the New Century Opera's production of Mozart's The Magic Flute at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. If Saturday does not work for you, another audition will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Humanities Room 117 of St. Petersburg College at the St. Petersburg campus. The director is looking for sopranos, mezzos, tenors, baritones and basses for solo and choral parts. You should bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
