PORT RICHEY - A 34-year-old man said four men tried to rob him Wednesday evening as he walked near Embassy Boulevard.

Anthony Chizmar Jr. of New Port Richey told deputies that the men demanded his wallet. When he refused, one of the men slashed him several times across the chest with a knife, he reported to the Sheriff's Office.

Chizmar ran, and the men did not pursue him, the report said. Chizmar's wounds were superficial. No arrests had been made Thursday.
