BANKS

John W. Biesinger III has been named senior vice president and senior trust adviser for Wachovia Wealth Management, St Petersburg. Biesinger was a senior vice president and an area administration manager for SunTrust in Pinellas County.

CONSTRUCTION

Southern Crafted Homes, Tampa, announced these appointments: Sally McFolling, vice president of sales and marketing; and William "Bill" Whidden, vice president of construction. McFolling was director of sales and marketing for First Dartmouth Homes, St. Petersburg; Whidden was director of construction for KB Homes, Tampa.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Anna Giuliano has been named program leader for risk assessment, detection and intervention for H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Tampa. Giuliano was co-director of the cancer prevention and control program and director of the behavioral measurement shared service for the Arizona Cancer Center.

INSURANCE

Jeris B. Wood has been named co-director of marketing for M.E. Wilson Co., Tampa. Wood was marketing manager for Lassiter-Ware Insurance, Tampa.

LEGAL

Mark J. Wolfson has been elected chairman-elect of the business law section of the Florida Bar. Wolfson is a partner, a member of the litigation department and leader of the Southeast business reorganization practice for the law firm of Foley & Lardner, Tampa.

MEDIA

Jim Beaty has been named media sales executive for WUSF Public Broadcasting, Tampa. Beaty was an account executive with WFLA-Ch. 16 and owns Beaty Communications, an advertising and marketing company in Tampa.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rudolf "Rudy" Fernandez has been selected as vice chairman for the 2005 Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Leadership Tampa Class and will serve as class chairman in 2006. Fernandez is branch manager/vice president of Robert W. Baird & Company Inc., Tampa.

Dr. Charles Sand has been elected president of the American Heart Association Florida/Puerto Rico affiliate board of directors. Sand is an emergency room physician at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa.

The Independent Consultants Association, Tampa Bay Chapter, St. Petersburg, has elected its officers: John Nelson, president; Debbie Foster, vice president; Denise Bibeau-Reaves, treasurer; and Jack Hipple, secretary. James D. Palermo has been named senior vice president and general counsel for DeBartolo Holdings LLC, Tampa. Palermo was city attorney for the city of Tampa.
