OZZFEST: British metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne's bat-biting days are long gone.

The Prince of Darkness revealed his new image on his reality show, The Osbournes, as he fumbled around with a TV remote control, listened to poetry readings and chased his cats around the back yard.

Nine years ago, his manager/wife, Sharon, developed Ozzfest, a daylong, heavy metal festival that tours the country.

Ozzfest made its first Tampa Bay area stop in 2001 at St. Petersburg's Tropicana Field. This year it comes to Tampa's new Ford Amphitheatre. Expect a sea of fans with multicolored hair, tattoos and pierced faces.

Osbourne and Black Sabbath headline Ozzfest 2004, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday and ends about 11 p.m. This year's lineup also features Judas Priest, Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, SuperjointRitual, Black Label Society and other bands.

Tickets are $49.75, $60.75 and $75.75 and go up $3 each the day of the show.
